Here's where you can find the information about the skin tones used on each doll. You can download a pdf or click the button and see the full list in a new window! Just like the character database, I provided the body style so you can look for donors. (NOTE: You can "hover" over Skin Tone Database and the different pages will show to the right. Click and you can see the list of dolls using that skin tone.) Please know that the terms used here are those commonly used in the doll collecting community or specific to terminology printed by Integrity Toys in electronic e-mails or on their site. These are NOT terms I have developed and are not intended to offend anyone.
Words of Warning: A doll's skin tone can look differently based on lighting, camera, processing, etc. There are many subtle differences between characters simply due to the manufacturing process and inks used during production. The African American skin tone has many shades and hues. I will try to note instances where you could encounter a problem. Changing heads and bodies is very subjective and individual to one's personal taste. Unfortunately, I did not have examples to include of the Honey Skin Tone used on the first three Dominique or the Light Honey used on Vivid Encounter Adele and Love Roulette Vanessa.
(Please note that many of my earlier dolls have been rebodied to the handspeak "matte" finish bodies produced between 2011 - 2012.)

2. Cream
The "Porcelain" Skin Tone was replaced by "Cream" in FR2 dolls. "Cream" is definitely more opague. Although some collectors have used "Cream" bodies for "Porcelain" heads, there is a difference. Making such a "frankendolly" is completely up to how finicky a collector may be.

3. Japan Old
4. Japan FR2
The "Japan" skintone is not as light as "Porcelain" or "Cream". Prior to FR2 dolls, most "Japan skin tone dolls had a yellowish undertone. The FR2 "Japan" skin tone often has a gray undertone. It's very subtle, but worth noting.

5. White/Caucasian
6. White 2012+
The "Caucasian/White" skin tone is the most common. Unfortunately, this color seems to yellow over time. To remedy this, a new formula was created in 2012 that has a subtle color change. Although the bodies and heads are easily interchangeable, there is a slight difference as seen in the photo. The newer tone is a smidge deeper in tone.

8. Latino FR2
9. Latino Pre 2009
10. Latino FR 2009 - 2013
Latino is noticeably different from "Tan" in the earlier Fashion Royalty dolls. There was a coloring change in 2008/2009. The earlier Natalia dolls (#9) have a pinker tone and do not match bodies produced after that time (#10). The Latino color in FR2 (#8) is somewhere between tan and the FR Latino coloring. NOTE: There are subtle differences between the ink formulae for the different production runs. Most collectors find the FR2 version easily interchangeable with all Latino dolls. Some are using it for "Tan". However, you need to check the specific version of the FR2 body for compatibility.

11. Indian
There is no "Indian" skin color in FR2. The latest Isha is actually using the Latino color. "Indian" is definitely a separate shade though in the Fashion Royalty world; although it appears to have been retired with Purple Pose Isha in 2008.

Honey/Dominique
(Not Pictured)
The first Dominiques use a color that is commonly referred to as "Honey". It is similar to a "Tan/Latino" tone.

Light Honey
(Not Pictured)
Which brings me to the new color "Light Honey: It's only been used on two dolls and the color formula for the faces just don't match the bodies. I think IT is trying to get something "Tan" but not "Latino"?

13. A-Tone 2
14. A-Tone 1
The last regular color for Fashion Royalty dolls is called "A-Tone"; it is a deeper and more rich African American/Black color. I have decided to list them as two separate color versions Sometimes the color is deeper (i.e. The Muse and Le Smoking) which I will call A-Tone 1; and then others (i.e. the ITBE dolls) will be referred to as A-Tone2. Again, there isn't a lot of consistency for collectors to rely on for body donors.
